Cryomed adds another milestone to its venerable list of accolades: a decade of excellence and exceptional commitment to the Australian and New Zealand aesthetics industry.

In 2013, Cryomed set out on a mission: to source and distribute high-quality medical devices at cost-effective prices. Ten years later, Cryomed is one of the industry’s most trusted and revered medical device companies in Australia and New Zealand, with a reputation for high-quality products and value for money, alongside an impressive commitment to customer service and education.

Cryomed was founded by Josh Locker, who spotted a niche in the market for best-in-class devices at affordable price points. The company’s portfolio now includes some of the world’s most advanced technologies, such as Ultraformer III, with over 10 million treatments performed worldwide, and a diverse and comprehensive range of energy-based devices, HA dermal fillers (a recent exciting new addition) and medical skincare.

In 2021, Cryomed was acquired by ASX- and NZX-listed EBOS Group, one of the largest and most diversified healthcare operations in Australasia. The plan is to become the major player in the Australian and New Zealand aesthetics market. This partnership has already brought more innovative devices and products to the ANZ market, including the prestigious Art Filler range of fillers by Fillmed, and Oligio, an RF skin tightening technology that offers a faster and more convenient treatment.

Cryomed is based in Sydney with offices in Melbourne, Brisbane and Auckland. Key to the company’s success is not only the size of the team, but also the diverse team of professionals who offer vast experience in the medical and aesthetic fields. They understand the needs of modern Australian and New Zealand businesses, from small to medium clinics to large-scale and franchise businesses, and the importance of sound and profitable investment.

The vast experience of the expanding Cryomed Aesthetics team enables them to offer their portfolio of products with total confidence behind state-of-the-art, proven technology, producing real, reproducible results for high patient satisfaction and fast return on investment.

Q&A with Krystian Szuba
General Manager, Cryomed Aesthetics

Ten years on and Cryomed has cemented itself as a leading provider of medical devices in ANZ. Can you share the company’s vision and some of the milestones along the way? Cryomed was established to provide best-in-class technology that represented value for money. This is still our purpose today. We want our customers to return time after time with the confidence that they have highest-quality equipment at the best price with the best service and training.

One of Cryomed’s milestones was the introduction and distribution of both Ultraformer III and Pastelle Q-Switch, along with cementing our relationship with Iskra Medical with TESLAFormer and TESLAChair and then of course introducing Clatuu Alpha and Secret RF.

Another turning point for Cryomed was the addition of FILLMED professional skincare, a globally recognised medical-grade range of peels, cosmetics and topical skin boosters. And in 2023, we are extremely excited to announce the Australian and New Zealand launch of Art Filler by FILLMED, a comprehensive collection of HA fillers for precision sculpting, volumising and smoothing.

Pivotal to our growth has been the acquisition of Cryomed by EBOS Group Ltd in 2020. This gave us the voice and confidence to expand, more as a brand rather than just a distributor, as well as strengthening our clients’ confidence in the future and longevity of Cryomed.

At Cryomed, value for money comes not only with our devices but also with our support and brand recognition. In 2022 we launched our ‘Thanks it’s Ultraformer’ consumer campaign which saw us expand our marketing to drive consumers into our clinic partners.

We support and assist our partners throughout the life of their business with marketing tools, support, superior clinical education as well as bringing patients to their businesses.

To what do you attribute Cryomed’s longevity and success?

Our tag line is ‘the better aesthetics company’ and we truly stand by this. I attribute our success to being genuine and providing unique tailored support to our partners, which includes expert business development, regulatory, marketing and clinical education teams. We have resources that go beyond a quick sale. It is more about establishing a long-term relationship with our clients.

How does Cryomed continue to distinguish itself in the aesthetic marketplace?

Our portfolio – it’s the largest portfolio which means our clients don’t have to shop around. We have the largest TGA-registered line of devices. We also offer quality FMS syringes and premium in-clinic skincare brand (that is not sold online), which is exclusively for industry professionals.

I believe we also stand apart because of our clinical education team and business development managers, all of whom have extensive industry experience. We are also proud that we have the largest in-house service teams to support our clinic partners beyond the sale of our devices.

Can you briefly share the key points of Cryomed’s diverse portfolio?

Cryomed’s world-class portfolio of devices truly is diverse and has something for every type of aesthetic clinic, with everything from CO2 lasers to RF microneedling.

We source the globe for the best aesthetic healthcare devices, medical-grade cosmeceuticals and injectables and bring them to Australian and New Zealand shores.

No matter what indication, we have a solution to help support and grow business. This includes skin rejuvenation, pigmentation, facial contouring, skin resurfacing, tattoo removal, vascular treatment, body contouring, incontinence treatments and, of course, this year the introduction of Art Filler HA fillers.

How does the EBOS acquisition help to provide a comprehensive offering to clients?

It’s enabled us to have the resources to support Cryomed’s growth, brand recognition and trust. It allows us to focus on the future, to better meet the needs of our clients and to enhance the Cryomed experience for all our partners.

Cryomed has an outstanding reputation for supporting HCPs.

What platforms do you offer clients for clinical education and training?

Our Cryomed Academy is our 24/7 online education platform that allows our partners to complete video-based training modules for all our technologies at a time that suits them best. We also offer our Cryomed VIP platform which houses unlimited information, from website content to social media graphics, clinical resources and technical support, at the click of a button. In addition, we offer over the phone support with our in-house team.

What new technologies can we expect from Cryomed in 2023?

It’s an exciting year for Cryomed with the introduction of Oligio, a new RF skin tightening device that offers convenience and efficiency like never before, as well as the highly anticipated launch of Art Filler HA fillers by FILLMED. 2023 will also see us partner with more device companies, which will join our ever- growing portfolio of exceptional technologies here at Cryomed.
