TESLAChair™ offers a painless, effective non-invasive treatment option for a range of incontinence and pelvic floor indications, as well as sexual health.

The TESLAChair™ is a revolutionary non-invasive treatment for various types of incontinence in men and women, stimulating deep muscle tissue without coming in direct contact with the skin. It uses advanced Functional Magnetic Stimulation (FMS) technology to treat weakened pelvic floor muscles and all types of urinary and faecal incontinence, including urge, mixed and stress incontinence, and incontinence after childbirth.

FMS technology can also benefit patients with sexual dysfunction and chronic pain in the pelvic region and lumbar spine. Additionally, the TESLAChair™ therapy can have a positive effect on sexual performance, erections, the ability to achieve orgasm, and the active contraction of groin and gluteal muscles.

‘I have had the TESLAChair™ for 18 months and it has been a great addition to our medical practice, for both women and men,’ says Dr Donna Burgess, head practitioner at Sanctuary Cosmetic Clinic in Sydney. ‘As a GP and cosmetic physician, it is a wonderfully effective treatment that brings my patients back regularly. This enables good follow-up and the opportunity to talk about other therapies that could be beneficial to them.’

How does FMS work?

FMS technology uses a magnetic field (measured in Tesla) to penetrate the deeper biological tissues without affecting the skin. The FMS magnetic field generated propagates through clothes, is painless, and patients remain fully clothed during each session. During electromagnetic induction, rapid changes of magnetic field intensity induce an electrical current in the neuron. Muscle contraction is then induced repeatedly, without the muscles becoming fatigued. Studies show that repeated exposure to FMS results in increased muscle mass. By inducing muscle contractions, and helping boost circulation in the target area, FMS leads to increased strength and endurance of the targeted muscles.

‘Over a period of 30 minutes, FMS strengthens muscles that would not usually be exercised so it really helps the pelvic floor for all types of incontinence, erectile dysfunction, post-op prostatectomy complications, and of course abdominal muscle strengthening for core strength and ripped abs,’ Dr Burgess explains.

Outcomes you can rely on

Thirty-eight percent of Australians report they have experienced incontinence, with 14% currently experiencing incontinence and a further 24% having experienced some form of incontinence in the past1.

The TESLAChair™ offers a breakthrough treatment for incontinence. Studies2 demonstrate that 89% percent of women suffering from urge incontinence showed significant or complete dryness after TESLAChair™ treatment; 95% suffering from stress incontinence showed significant or complete dryness; 98% suffering from mixed incontinence sufferers showed significant or complete dryness; and 100% suffering from after- childbirth incontince showed significant or complete dryness.

‘The results are phenomenal,’ Dr Burgess attests. ‘Patients are dry after 6 treatments. I encourage patients to return every 3 months for maintenance. We call it their pelvic gym.

‘My patients are surprised how quick and easy treatments are. They also love the fact they have their treatments fully dressed.’

‘A valuable tool’

TESLAChair™’s hands-free operation system makes it easy to introduce to new and existing practices. Dr Burgess says it has added a medical benefit to her cosmetic clinic, broadening her treatment offering and enabling a more holistic approach. She says it has also seen her patients return regularly to the clinic, and not just for injectables.

Treatment parameters can be set to meet each patient’s needs, as well as pre-set program options. ‘The device’s pre-set programmes take the guesswork out of delivering treatment, making it easy to use and delegate to staff members,’ she adds.

‘TESLAChair™ is a valuable tool and is empowering for all those women who secretly suffer in silence with a lifetime of chronic urinary incontinence,’ Dr Burgess concludes. AMP
