REJURAN, the much-anticipated ‘salmon sperm injections’, was officially launched in Australia on 11 February.

REJURAN is a gel formulation of polynucleotides, composed of wild salmon DNA fragments extracted through proprietary DOT™ technology (DNA Optimising Technology). It has been dubbed the ‘salmon sperm injections’, with celebrities like Jennifer Aniston reportedly having the treatment weekly to help counter the effects of ageing skin.

REJURAN is more than the latest bio-regenerator injectable. Unlike traditional hyaluronic acid skin boosters, REJURAN boasts bio-active DNA molecules that stimulate restoration and repair damaged skin, concurrently reducing unwanted inflammation.

Developed in South Korea by Pharma Research, REJURAN has been used in Asian countries since  2015 in Asia – with immense popularity in South Korea. It is now available in Australia and New Zealand, exclusively distributed by K Bridge Medical.

A game-changing addition to the Australian aesthetics industry

Held at the W Hotel in Sydney, the launch of REJURAN in Australia was hosted by keynote speaker specialist plastic surgeon Dr Steven Liew, alongside international REJURAN experts Dr Micheal J Kim and Dr Nark-Kyoung Rho. Engaging local experts Dr Cara McDonald, Dr Davin Lim, Dr Eric Song, Dr Gavin Chan and Dr Jake Sloane also presented to share their experiences using REJURAN.

‘The main function of REJURAN is to provide hydration and promote true regeneration of collagen and elastin,’ said Dr Steven Liew. ‘It is very different to other ‘bio stimulators’ in the market, in that it does not cause any inflammation and hence minimal to no chance of lumpiness or nodule formation.’

According to Kaitlyn Shin of K Bridge Medical, ‘REJURAN is the first polynucleotide (PN) in Australia, and due to its ingredients and scheduling the name ‘REJURAN’ can be using in marketing.’*

Science behind REJURAN ‘salmon sperm injections’

REJURAN polynucleotides (PN) are slow-degrading DNA fragments sourced from wild salmon, representing a concentrated form of PDRN (Polydeoxyribonucleotide or salmon sperm-derived DNA). The extraction process employs PharmaResearch’s proprietary DNA Optimising Technology (DOT™), resulting in a clear, colourless, and viscous solution.

The long DNA chains in REJURAN PN maintain a slow-degrading structure upon injection, creating volumetric increases of tissues and make more favourable physiological conditions for the growth of cells in the skin. This process stimulates collagen production from fibroblast cells in the skin’s dermis and epidermis layers, enhancing skin elasticity and promoting rejuvenation.
