With a new venue, a number of program innovations and a cavalcade of industry experts, Aesthetics 2023 again lived up to its theme ‘from walking to flying’.

The Winx Stand at the Australian Turf Club, Randwick, Sydney, welcomed a gem-laden three-and-a-half day program delivered in Aesthetics’ usual high-energy format, providing an interactive platform where practitioners could participate in learning more about selected aspects of non-surgical aesthetic medicine.

Day 1 was the industry-supported Discovery Day, with five concurrent workshop rooms and more than 25 topics offering the latest information and techniques on specific devices and products. Days 2 to 4 included a comprehensive trade exhibition as well as the main program introduced by convenor, Dr Steven Liew. There was an emphasis on the practical characteristics of daily practice, covering a range of topics including injectables, skin health and related treatments, thread lifting, and advanced applications of devices and laser therapies, commencing with ‘The Face Design’.

Traditional presentations were interdispersed with live demonstration sessions throughout the program, covering topics such as ‘Middle third of the face’, ‘HA at a glance: The good, the bad and the ugly’, ‘The current status of melasma treatment’, ‘Precision in neuromodulator treatment based on anatomy’, ‘The future of HA beyond skin quality and volumisation’, ‘The lips, perioral, perinasal and chin complex’, ‘Roadtesting the latest in non-surgical lifting devices’, to name a few.
