4 foundational technologies
SWT® IPL
The unique Candela SWT™ uses selective wavelength technology with dual filters to deliver narrowband intense pulsed light (IPL) to the target tissue, filtering out potentially harmful wavelengths beyond 950nm. By minimising unnecessary heat and light, SWT results in precise treatments and offers unrivalled skin protection without compromising results.
SWT uses narrower wavelength bands, per condition, than broadband IPL devices and requires less than half the fluence of broadband IPL and no active cooling. This enables Nordlys to deliver highly targeted treatment with fewer treatments and a greater level of patient comfort.
SWT photorejuvenation with Candela SWT using relatively shorter wavelengths and pulse widths showed significant macroscopic and quantitative improvements, especially in the treatment of epidermal pigmentation and improvement of basic skin tone.
Nordlys also uniquely delivers sub-millisecond IPL pulses for exceptional skin rejuvenation, vascular treatments and hair removal.
Nordlys SWT offers highly customisable treatments and can be used with eight different applicators, including the PR 530 and VL 555 applicators for photorejuvenation and treatment of vascular lesions, as well as hair removal.
Frax 1550™
Designed for deeper non-ablative fractional skin resurfacing, improving skin texture and treatment of acne scars, surgical scars and striae. Integrated SoftCool allows greater comfort during treatment. The Frax 1550 handpiece delivers high ROI treatments with a smart approach to minimising consumables.
Frax 1940™
Designed for more superficial fractional non-ablative skin resurfacing and treatment of actinic keratosis. With the intelligent roller technology, the treatment can be performed consistently, covering the treatment area in a rolling motion and controlling the rate at which the laser creates thermally coagulated microscopic zone on the skin. The SoftCool™ technology delivers a focused stream of cool air for greater comfort during and after treatment.
Nd: YAG 1064nm
The Nd:YAG 1064 laser is designed to treat benign vascular lesions such as facial telangiectasias, leg veins, venous lakes and port wine stains. The integrated SoftCool™ technology enables treatment without constriction of underlying vessels, which can occur with contact cooling.
Software-controlled zoom enables easy change in spot sizes (from 1.5-5.0mm) and shapes (circular, semi-circular and circular sapphire) for treatment flexibility.
