In your experience, what are the key advantages of the V-Series platform?
The V-Series is extremely of treatments for the modern aesthetic clinic. There are many different indications we can treat effectively and safely with the platform, including treatment for pigmentation and vascular lesions, for rejuvenation and skin tightening and even for body contouring. Every indication is different and every patient is different, and the ability to customise treatments is important.
Another major benefit is that treatments with the V-Series are effective, have an excellent safety profile and offer virtually no patient discomfort.
What are the benefits of multi-modal treatments?
Multi-modal treatments offer synergistic effects, for example, treating solar lentigines with IPL and afterwards using the V-FR fractional RF skin resurfacing handpiece can lead to both treatment of pigment irregularities and skin tightening and thus very amazing skin rejuvenation. This combination affords almost no downtime and low risk of post- treatment side effects.
Another combination is using the IPL and V-ST RF skin tightening handpieces – this treats vascular irregularities while also tightening the skin for enhanced results.
The use of multiple modalities is particularly beneficial in targeting the different layers of ageing skin. For example, IPL can be used to target the dermoepidermal junction and epidermis and the V-ST targets the dermis. Therefore, there is a tissue effect both on the epidermis, the dermoepidermal junction and also on the deeper dermal layers for skin tightening, effectively targeting the different layers of ageing skin.
Many different combinations are possible on the V-Series, depending on each patient’s needs and desires.
How do you use the V-Series in combination with other modalities to maximise results?
I often combine the V-series with superficial chemical peels for removal of the outermost epidermal layers. We also use the V-series in combination with fillers and botulinum toxin. I especially like to use the V-FR in combination with a biostimulator – Both treatments stimulate new collagen production in the skin and together can lead to enhanced skin rejuvenation and skin tightening.
What are your observations on patient satisfaction using the V-Series?
Patient satisfaction is very high as it is an easy and effective treatment with minimal side effects and downtime.
What outcomes are you seeing since incorporating the V-Series into your practice?
We are seeing improvement in pigmentation, vascular lesions, skin tone and texture, and skin tightening. Treatments are also indicated and efficacious for acne scars and rosacea.
