Functional Magnetic Stimulation: how it works
TESLAFormer uses the latest FMS technology. It works to stimulate the muscles, inducing supramaximal contractions that build muscle cells quicker than voluntary muscle contractions experienced during traditional strength training.
Unlike electrical muscle stimulation (EMS), FMS uses magnetic fields which require no skin contact and offers a more comfortable patient experience. TESLAFormer’s pulsed magnetic fields contract the muscles through its effect on motor nerves of the muscles on the target site, delivering a concentrated, targeted and unique treatment.
TESLAFormer delivers up to 50,000 contractions per session. These supramaximal contractions experienced during TESLAFormer treatments are accompanied by a rapid metabolic reaction in the fat cells; the contractions trigger the release of free fatty acids to break down localised fat deposits while also strengthening and rebuilding muscle to improve tone and definition.
A typical treatment lasts 30 minutes, with no downtime. A total of 6 to 12 sessions carried out every other day is recommended for optimal results.

The TESLAFormer has been one of our most popular treatments. We have the chair (TESLAChair) and paddles (TESLAFormer); they both show great results for different factors, depending on what you’re targeting.
Who is the primary target market within your business?
Our primary target is quite diverse. We use TESLAFormer for people who wish to build muscle mass/toning, and the TESLAChair is great for people suffering from incontinence, back pain and to strengthen pelvic floor muscles. We have introduced memberships for weekly use as it is more cost effective and we believe gives the best results.
What are typical results and how long does it take to achieve?
Clients need a minimum of 6 treatments to receive the best results, but they’re usually seen after the 4th treatment.
