New handpiece for precise treatment of hard-to-reach areas
The Precise Applicator delivers the same SUPERB™ technology but has been further refined with a condensed transducer configuration for more precise and convenient delivery of pulses around small curved areas, such as the eyes and mouth. The result is a compact, more maneuverable applicator head for precise and convenient delivery of pulses, providing easier access to difficult to reach areas.
The Precise Applicator is a smaller version of the current Lift Applicator. It has 3 synchronised parallel high-intensity, high-frequency ultrasound transducers (as opposed to 7 with the Lift Applicator) and is designed for targeted treatments and easier access to smaller areas such as peri orbital, peri oral (around the mouth), as well more curved anatomical areas that can be challenging to reach.
The modular, smaller applicator head and its benefits are an add-on feature requiring no modification to current Sofwave™ systems and works seamlessly with the Lift Applicator.

Next-generation skin tightening: how Sofwave™ works
Since its introduction to the global aesthetics market in 2019, Sofwave™ has reimagined ultrasound-based skin tightening and lifting with its breakthrough SUPERB™ Synchronous Ultrasound Parallel Beam technology.
Sofwave™’s SUPERB™ technology allows for a unique approach to skin rejuvenation. It uses high frequency ultrasound beams that propagate through the tissue and create an array of 7 or 3 (depending on the handpiece) unique geometric 3D cylindrical- shaped thermal zones in the dermis separated by regions of undamaged tissue, thereby creating a fractional effect in the mid dermis. Each pulse delivers high-intensity energy from the parallel beam transducers that operate simultaneously, providing high levels of coverage in a 1-2 pass procedure.
The fractional ultrasound effect creates a controlled, elongated and directional thermal coagulation at the ideal depth of 1.5mm in the mid-dermis. This allows for significant beneficial effects with minimal penetration, ensuring no damage to the epidermis or to underlying structures.
Additionally, the dermal tissue heating (60-70°C) stimulates collagen production and remodelling in the optimal vectors direction- relative to the skin wrinkles and visibly improves the overall appearance of ageing skin.

Sofwave™ features Sofcool™, an integrated cooling system with a real-time skin temperature monitoring mechanism. Sofcool™ utilises unique thermo-cooled direct-contact transducers and assists in directing the thermal effect in the mid-dermis, providing optimal epidermal protection.
