ADVATx has been described as the world’s most advanced solid-state yellow laser for the treatment of vascular skin conditions, acne, scars and skin rejuvenation – with no discomfort, no downtime and no consumables.
Distributed by Device Consulting, ADVATx offers practitioners a sophisticated and versatile laser system indicated for a wide range of dermatologic and aesthetic issues. ADVATx uses high-powered, 589nm-wavelength yellow light, which is acknowledged as the gold standard in treating various vascular conditions, and 1319nm wavelength to stimulate collagen production and to improve skin texture and overall dermal health. In this way, it can function both as a vascular laser and a skin rejuvenation laser, making it an ideal foundational laser system in any aesthetic medical clinic.
ADVATx is based on patented pulse synchronisation, or PulSync, technology. Consisting of two laser modules, 1064nm and 1319nm, a shared Q-Switch modulates both to generate a pulsed train of light. These pulsed trains are synchronised and simultaneously sent through an LBO (non-linear crystal), which combines the wavelength of the respective 1064 and 1319 photons to generate 589nm, or yellow, light. Alternatively, 1319nm may be selected, depending on the treatment goals.
Treatments are comfortable and typically do not require any topical anesthesia. There is little to no downtime, with side effects usually limited to mild swelling and redness.
For the operator, ADVATx features a simple user interface with intuitive, easy-to-use controls for the ultimate user experience. Choose from presets for the most common indications or configure customised modes to deliver efficient, off-the- table results.
ADVATx has an excellent safety profile with little to no adverse effects on various skin types (Fitzpatrick I-V), is easy to delegate to trained staff, and does not require any ongoing consumables. The total annual running cost is negligible (no flash lamp to replace).

Q&A with

How long have you been using ADVATx® and what role does it play in your clinic?
I have been using ADVATx® for a little over 2 years now. AdvaTx® has been a welcome addition to our EBDs because of its unique dual wavelength 589/1319nm that addresses redness, hyperpigmentation and skin rejuvenation.
What are the benefits if combining yellow and near infrared laser energy?
The high-powered yellow and infrared laser energy improves skin tone, texture and overall dermal health by targeting the vascular components of dyschromia, sun damage and unwanted pigment while simultaneously reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, limiting oil production and shrinking pore size.
What is the mechanism of action the PulSync Technology?
The unique PulSync technology of ADVATx® makes it a comfortable procedure. The 589nm laser is a solid-state laser that has a quasi-continuous wave pulsing system, which delivers individual pulses of approximately 60 nanoseconds at a repetition rate of 12 kHz (SoftPulse). The skin perceives these multiple pulses as a single pulse and therefore does not sense individual large energy spikes that would typically induce purpura.
I have used pulsed dye lasers for vascular lesions and patients are usually satisfied with the improvements. Unfortunately, preventative maintenance and repair expenses are significant. The ADVATx® has no consummables and has proven to be effective, hence, it is a good alternative for vascular lesions.
What do you use ADVATx® for?
The top indications of ADVATx® in my practice are: acne vulgaris, post- acne scarring and erythema, oily skin, melasma, post inflammatory hyperpigmentation, vascular malformations, and overall skin rejuvenation. I have also tried it on psoriasis and eczema, but I’ve seen mixed results, so more controlled trials are necessary to give any recommendations.
What is the patient experience like?
Our patients range from 15- to 70-years-old. Treatment of individual vascular lesions is associated with mild discomfort but topical anesthesia is unnecessary.
The ADVATx® has a high safety profile. In my more than 2 years of using it, I have not encountered significant adverse reactions. I suggest for all clinicians to try it on various skin types and adjust settings accordingly.
Is it easy to operate and run?
The use of any laser always has a learning curve. The ADVATx® settings are quite easy to navigate. There is no need to change handpieces when you change wavelengths.
With its wide range of indications and high safety profile, I think that the ADVATx® definitely has a place in any aesthetic medical practice. AMP
