Merz Aesthetics and Candela Corporation are joining forces to expand their respective medical aesthetic portfolios of devices, injectables and skincare to better meet patient demand for full-spectrum aesthetic care.
In a unique commercial collaboration, Merz Aesthetics, the world’s largest dedicated medical aesthetics business, and Candela Corporation, the leading global medical aesthetic device company, are working together to provide one of the broadest medical aesthetics portfolios in the world.
The commercial collaboration is unlike anything the medical aesthetic industry has seen in its more than 30-year history. It is designed to unite the portfolios of these two powerhouse manufacturers, as well as commit their sales forces and clinical training staffs to work side-by-side.
The collaboration will start in North America with the intention to expand the device, injectable and skincare portfolios globally, providing customers easy access to comprehensive offerings for products and support services. The new solution is designed to meet the emerging patient demand for a full-spectrum approach to self-care and optimal skin.
“Through this novel collaboration, we will offer access to an even more comprehensive portfolio of high-quality aesthetic products,” said Bob Rhatigan, Global CEO, Merz Aesthetics. “With new options to streamline purchasing, it is another way we can deliver value for customers.”
The commercial collaboration provides customer access to innovations and education from both companies, offering a full line of desirable premium products, customized treatment opportunities and seamless customer service and training.
“As consumer demand continues to expand for aesthetic solutions to support health and well-being, we are excited to promote our leading aesthetic device portfolio to Merz Aesthetics customers and offer injectables and topicals to our large and growing customer base,” said Geoffrey Crouse, CEO of Candela. “We look forward to providing customers with unique packaged offerings that deliver clinical value to aesthetic practices.”
