More than 200 nurses from across Australia convened at the inaugural Mediaesthetics Cosmetic Conference, held on 4-5 August 2024 at the Sofitel, Brisbane.

The Mediaesthetics conference brought together more than 200 registered nurses from SILK Laser Clinics, Australian Skin Clinics, Clear Skincare Clinics and Eden Laser Clinics. The two-day event offered an outstanding opportunity for networking and knowledge exchange among industry professionals, and showcased the most recent advancements in aesthetic practices.

The diverse program kicked off with the keynote presentation, The Mindful High-Performer, with EQ Minds founder Chelsea Pottenger discussing and demonstrating a kit of practical tools to adopt into your daily routine to tap into positive energy, build resilience and reduce stress and burnout.

This was followed by a impressive line-up of key opinion leaders in the industry, including:

Dr Vandana Chatrath (Dermatologist, India), who presented on injectable wrinkle treatments in the forehead and a product comparison of HA treatments for diversity.

Dr Priyanka Chadha (Plastic surgery doctor, UK), who presented on HA treatments for improving skin hydration and the use of collagen biostimulators.

Dr Nabila Azib (Plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgeon, Morocco), who presented on the ATP Approach (Anatomy, Techniques, Products) to treating lips and chin, including injecting techniques and complications protocols.

Dr Scott Allison (Cosmetic physician, Australia), who presented on bio-remodelling treatments.

The program also included panel discussions, technology updates and future product reveals, with sponsors including Allergan Aesthetics, Teoxane, Galderma and Dermocosmetica. A sumptuous gala dinner allowed delegates to celebrate achievement within the field of aesthetic medicine and the chance to socialise and network with their peers.

The conference merged learning, innovation and collaboration in the field of aesthetics, while celebrating the future of brands coming together as part of Wesfarmers Health.
