IMCAS 2024, the 25th anniversary of the largest scientific aesthetics congress in the world, took place at the Palais Des Congres in Paris on February 1–3.

Known as the world’s largest congress in dermatology, plastic surgery and ageing science, IMCAS brings together the latest evidence-based techniques from prominent speakers and new developments from the major industry players.

To honour the 25th anniversary, speakers and delegates from across the world descended in Paris to attend the biggest IMCAS Congress ever. The robust list of attendees included 18,650 participants, 1,003 speakers, 197 sessions and 354 exhibitors, contributing to 2,138 presentations over 325 learning hours.

The focus of this year’s event was innovation and the future of modern treatment. Encompassing a comprehensive selection of topics and breakthrough treatments, the scientific program covered updates in clinical dermatology, the full scope of minimally invasive procedures, upcoming regenerative science and new surgical techniques. Sessions included ‘Navigating AI, ChaptGPT and the metaverse in aesthetics’, ‘Innovations in regenerative medicine’ and ‘Next-gen fillers and toxins’.

The IMCAS signature sessions, held in the grand Grand Amphitheatre, saw delegates view live demonstrations from an esteemed selection of experts. These included the Live Anatomy on Cadaver Workshop, which overlayed live injection and thread techniques with cadaver dissection, and Live Augmented Surgery & Anatomical Dissections, a unique format that explored the fundamentals of underlying anatomy with the latest plastic surgery tools and techniques.

IMCAS 2024 offered a comprehensive overview of the latest developments in aesthetic medicine and provided valuable educational opportunities for professionals at all stages of their careers. By bringing together leading experts, researchers and industry stakeholders, the congress continues to drive innovation and excellence in the field. AMP
