Now in its eighth year, COSMEDICON 2025 brought together leading experts in aesthetic medicine, offering a dynamic platform for education, collaboration and innovation.

Hosted by Aesthetic Medical Practitioner (AMP) magazine, COSMEDICON 2025 welcomed cosmetic doctors, plastic surgeons, dermatologists, aesthetic nurses, clinic owners and trade partners for an immersive and insightful experience.

Held from 6-8 March at the luxurious InterContinental Sydney Double Bay, COSMEDICON’s carefully curated scientific program showcased the latest advancements in non-surgical aesthetic medicine. Delegates engaged in discussions on cutting-edge techniques, innovative treatment options and essential patient safety protocols.

The conference kicked off on Thursday with three industry-sponsored workshops hosted by Cryomed Aesthetics, Dermocosmetica and Hugel Aesthetics, offering hands-on training in the latest aesthetic treatments.

This year’s scientific program featured keynote speaker Prof Steven Boyages who gave an update on the latest semaglutide-like weight loss injections. Plastic surgeon Ian Holten presented on his experiences with Ahpra and its protocol for dealing with complaints. This was then followed by a timely panel, ‘Industry in Turmoil’, which was in response to the Queensland Government’s fact sheet regarding regulations around the purchase and storage of Schedule 4 cosmetic injectables. The panel was moderated by Dr John Flynn (Past President ACCS) and included Dr Gabi Caswell (Past President ACAM), Kate Evans (Ahpra), Dr Ian Holten (plastic surgeon), Jacinta King RN (Juv’ae), Sheri-lee Knoop RN (President CNA), Dr David Kosenko (President CPCA) and Dr Tom Parmakellis (cosmetic physician).

The conference welcomed an impressive line-up of international speakers, including Dr Francisco de Melo, plastic surgeon (UAE), Dr Bisma Hussain, biohacking and regenerative medicine specialist (UK), Dr Young Seob Lee, plastic surgeon (South Korea), Dr Sang June Rhee, cosmetic surgeon (South Korea), Prof Hang-Cheol Shin, Professor Emeritus, School of Systems Biomedical Science, Soongsil University (South Korea), Dr Kyu-Ho Yi, MD, PhD, anatomist and aesthetic physician (South Korea), who shared their expertise on the latest techniques in their respective fields.

Each year, COSMEDICON delivers an unforgettable social program and this year the Cryomed Aesthetics Welcome Drinks set the tone for a collegial and inspiring event, while High Tech Medical’s Barbie-themed Gala Dinner delivered an evening of glamour, fun… and pink! The costumes this year were amazing and a record number of attendees dressed up for the theme. To close the conference, the Networking Event provided the perfect opportunity to connect and reflect after an action-packed program.

If you missed any of the presentations, they’re available to view in the Education section on this website.

We hope you enjoyed your COSMEDICON 2025 experience, and we look forward to welcoming you next year. Save the date for 5-7 March 2026 at the InterContinental Sydney Double Bay! AMP
