BTL hosted its first BTL Regional Summit & Awards on 30 November in Phu Quoc, Vietnam – a full-day workshop bringing together leading clinicians and clinic owners from across Asia–Pacific to examine what is, and isn’t, working in the fast-growing wellness and longevity space.

Designed as both an education forum and a reward for loyal BTL partners, the summit focused on the evolving role of technology in holistic wellness programs – from body composition and muscle strength to cognition, mood and long-term functional health.

The program highlighted how EXOMIND™ is emerging as the “missing piece” that connects the brain–muscle axis, complementing existing BTL platforms such as EMFACE® and EMSCULPT NEO® within broader wellness and longevity protocols.

Key sessions were led by:

  • Dr Darren Ng – Cosmetic Physician, Phlebologist and Medical Director, Lasers in Medicine (Adelaide, Australia)
  • Dr Andrew Clark – Founder, MIRA Clinic (Perth, Australia); cosmetic doctor with a PhD in skin and muscle biochemistry
  • Dr Cody Hanish – Chiropractor and Director, Combined Clinics Australia (Sydney); known for his work in integrated chiropractic and wellness programs

The Australian faculty was joined and supported by:

  • Gareth Pepper – Director ANZ, BTL Aesthetics, who hosted the regional delegation and led discussions on how clinics across Australia and New Zealand are integrating BTL technologies into broader wellness and longevity models of care.
  • Dr Sam R. Patel (USA) – Aesthetics and wellness consultant, contributing perspectives on global trends and patient expectations in different markets.

Together the speakers explored real-world experience combining neuromodulatory technologies, muscle-building systems and skin-focused platforms inside wellness and longevity clinics – including patient pathways, staff training, protocol design and how to avoid over- promising in this emerging category.

“Around the world, clinics are trying to make sense of the wellness and longevity boom,” said Gareth Pepper, Director ANZ, BTL Aesthetics. “This summit was about honest conversation – what’s working, what isn’t, and how technologies like EMFACE, EMSCULPT NEO and EXOMIND can support a more complete brain–muscle connection within structured, evidence- informed programs. It was also a chance for us to recognise the partners who have helped build this category from the ground up.”

As part of the event, BTL presented a series of Regional Excellence Awards celebrating clinical leadership, education and patient-centred practice across the APAC region:

The Phu Quoc meeting marks the launch of an annual BTL Regional Summit & Awards series. The aim is to create an ongoing platform where BTL partners can benchmark results, share experience and collectively shape the future of wellness and longevity practice in the region.
