The Australasian Society of Cosmetic Dermatologists hosted the much-anticipated ASCD Symposium on 1-3 March 2024.
Held at the inimitable Crown Conference Centre in Melbourne, this year’s ASCD Symposium centred on the ‘Next Generation’ of the aesthetics industry, with notable presentations on the increasing integration of AI in medical aesthetics, the resurgence of radiofrequency-based devices, the rise and rise of regenerative medicine, and the modern practice of combining multiple modalities for tailored and enhanced results.
With an abundance of thought-provoking content, the 2024 ASCD Symposium captivated and challenged attendees. Sessions delved into advancements in injectables, energy-based devices and surface active skincare and aftercare, as well as dissecting emerging trends and potential future developments in the field of aesthetic dermatology.
The conference provided a comprehensive examination of facial anatomy and its significance for injectors. This was accompanied by an emphasis on patient psychology, the obligations to patients and regulatory authorities, and how to manage the modern informed patient.
