Aesthetics 2024 with its theme of ‘to share, to learn and to advance, together’ was held in the Winx stand at royal Randwick racecourse, Sydney from august 1-4.
Drawing practitioners from across the globe to discuss the latest advancements, techniques and innovations, the program commenced with a full day of 15 workshops covering a vast array of indications and technologies, including injectables, skincare, laser and other energy- based devices.
Days 2 to 4 were in a more traditional conference setting and included live injecting demonstrations covering indications in the midface and periorbit, temple and forehead, and total face. Presentations and panels fostered further dialogue on these indications and included real-life cases panel discussions covering diverse topics such as: high forehead/short forehead; brow asymmetry/brow lifting; gummy smile; ageing midface and lower eyelids; congenitial dark circles; and many more.
Keynote lectures included ‘Give Me Better Skin’ with Dr Davin Lim and Dr Ofir Artzi (Israel), ‘Exosome: Hype or Truly Scientific’ with Prof Alastair Sloan (Head of School of Melbourne Dental School) and ‘1+1 is Greater than 2: How to Combine Different Modalities for Skin Rejuvenation’ with Dr Ofir Artzi.
Delegates were also treated to in-depth sessions on the latest trends, including: advancements in laser treatments; in-depth anatomy tutorials; the integration of skincare into patient care; and real-world experiences with complications.

Networking opportunities were abundant, with industry leaders, practitioners and innovators connecting during the welcome drinks, the ‘Masquerade’ gala dinner and the ‘A24 Talent Awards’ presentations.
The exhibition hall was a hive of activity, featuring the latest products and services from top-tier companies in the aesthetics field, allowing attendees to explore new tools and technologies that could enhance their practice.
Overall, Aesthetics 2024 offered valuable knowledge, practical skills, and networking opportunities to all who attended. Delegates left the conference not only inspired but equipped with the tools and knowledge to push the boundaries of their practice.
