About Dr Herbert Hooi

Dr Herbert Hooi is a Cosmetic Doctor, Fellow of the Australian College of Aesthetic Medicine, Mint Lift Australia Trainer, KOL and Master PDO Thread User.

Dr Hooi’s threads’ journey began in 2011 and later with PDO Threads in 2018 travelling to Korea to train in Seoul with local Threads experts and KOLs. Together with Mondeal, Dr Hooi pioneered the early Mint Threads training for Australian and New Zealand Doctors. Initially using Mint Threads to treat traditional vectors, solely aimed at lifting and correcting the lower 3rd for patients.

Dr Hooi has continued to trial new and exciting indications using Mint Threads including perfecting a brow-lift that could sustain its lift for more than 12 months. One of the vectors associated with this brow-lift was a reverse vector back into the scalp, inserted below superficial temporal facia. This led Dr Hooi investigating procedures that required reverse vectors only, once again pioneering this technique for the benefit of Mint for our ANZ doctors. Dr Hoois also credited by Mondeal / Mint Australia for setting the protocols for the nose-defining and tip-lifting threads treatment. The latest technique to be showcased in the next edition of our 2023 series of Mint Threads Webinars, focuses on ensuring longevity, when treating the neck with Mint PDO lifting threads, demonstrated by Dr Hooi.
