Growth factors, SODs and botanicals

Growth factors are peptides-protein chains composed of amino acid building blocks. Short peptide chains that penetrate skin have been shown to exhibit activity which is bio-identical to human growth factors. Some of these benefits include encouraging collagen synthesis, repairing wounds and stimulating stem cell activity; all helping to produce healthier, younger appearing skin.

One of the standout ingredients in the iS Clinical range is Copper Tripeptide-1 Growth Factor, found in seven products in the range. This protein is bio-identical and has been clinically proven to stimulate the synthesis of collagen in skin fibroblasts and increase accumulation of total proteins, glycosaminoglycans and DNA in dermal wounds. The Copper Tripeptide-1 sequence is present in collagen and it is suggested that it is released after tissue injury. Copper Tripeptide-1 also increases synthesis of decorin, a small proteoglycan in the regulation of collagen synthesis, wound-healing regulation and antitumour defence.

Multitasking treatment serums
