Cryomed Aesthetics’ long-standing relationship with Korean manufacturer Wontech reflects a shared focus on clinically driven, accessible energy-based technologies. With a strong engineering focus and a broad portfolio spanning multiple modalities, Wontech has built a global reputation for developing devices designed to deliver reliable performance, clinical efficacy and practical usability in busy aesthetic practices.

Building on this established partnership, Cryomed Aesthetics is now expanding its Wontech offering with the introduction of several key platforms to the Australian and New Zealand markets. The expanded range reflects growing demand for versatile, non-invasive technologies that address both superficial and deeper dermal concerns while supporting patient comfort and workflow efficiency.

The new products include Oligio and Tightan Pro, which target skin tightening, lifting and contouring using distinct energy-based approaches, alongside Lavieen, a 1927nm thulium laser designed for low-downtime skin rejuvenation and pigment correction. Together, these platforms are intended to support clinics in building a well-rounded treatment menu that spans tightening, resurfacing and rejuvenation across a broad range of indications.

Q&A with Mark Collins

Mark Collins

What does the expanded Wontech range offer clinic owners in Australia and New Zealand?

Wontech offers an extensive equipment range that Cryomed is now making available to both existing and new customers, particularly clinics seeking high-quality, affordable technology with advanced features that support faster, more comfortable and ergonomically efficient treatments. This expansion means that clinics who want to provide exceptional results for their clientele are no longer locked into purchasing from a small number of high-priced manufacturers.

Traditionally, it has been difficult to comfortably deliver energy at depths required to address concerns such as deep wrinkles and skin laxity. Oligio and Tightan Pro address this gap by offering greater control over energy delivery, combined with more efficient surface cooling. Lavieen complements the new extended range by offering reliable, low-downtime resurfacing capabilities that can be customised from non-ablative to sub-ablative treatment parameters. As a 1927nm thulium laser, Lavieen is engineered to address concerns ranging from mild pigmentation to more significant textural resurfacing.

How does the range help clinics address treatment gaps, particularly when it comes to deeper dermal indications that have traditionally been harder to treat comfortably?

For many years, manufacturers have primarily focused on the treatment of superficial concerns such as pigmentation, vascular irregularities and surface texture, where patient comfort is typically easier to maintain. The Wontech range allows clinics to confidently and reliably address deeper dermal indications while maintaining efficacy and patient comfort. This includes skin resurfacing treatments that can be delivered with minimal to no downtime, helping clinics fill longstanding gaps in their treatment menus.

Across Oligio, Lavieen and Tightan Pro, what are the key performance characteristics that distinguish each platform?

Oligio has been engineered with optimised energy delivery, intelligent cooling and real-time skin monitoring, enabling visible skin firming outcomes with minimal discomfort. These features make it well suited to clinics seeking a premium, non-invasive anti-ageing platform that delivers noticeable results.

Tightan Pro is a high-performance HIFU device designed for lifting, tightening and contouring by targeting the SMAS layer, located approximately 4.5mm beneath the fascia. It delivers focused ultrasound energy to contract tissue and stimulate collagen, offering a high-efficiency solution that reduces operator fatigue while delivering consistent, visible results for face and body rejuvenation.

Lavieen is Wontech’s advanced 1927nm thulium fractional laser, designed to deliver powerful skin rejuvenation and pigment correction with minimal downtime. When correctly engineered, this wavelength targets the epidermal basal layer, where melanocytes and melanin are highly concentrated.

Lavieen delivers precise sub-ablative energy to address pigmentation, pores and fine lines while preserving the stratum corneum, supporting faster and more comfortable recovery. Patients consistently report that their skin looks brighter and more rejuvenated with visible pigment correction.

How does the Wontech portfolio support the demands of busy aesthetic clinics?

Wontech’s portfolio addresses a broad spectrum of anti-ageing skin concerns across energy-based modalities. The range can be used to treat all skin types and is suitable for year-round treatment, including during the height of the Australian summer. It includes technologies ranging from long-pulse and picosecond lasers to radiofrequency and ultrasound devices for deeper structural concerns.

Each system is highly specialised for specific indications, with engineering that supports effective treatment beyond initial applications. This offers clinics a select range of treatment options for their patients within the Wontech portfolio, translating into strong return on investment through rapid, comfortable, efficacious and in-demand treatments.

The systems are all engineered to perform in clinics with a high patient throughput. Wontech selected Cryomed Aesthetics as its preferred partner across Australia and New Zealand, reflecting Cryomed’s long-standing reputation for customer support built over the past 12 years.

Cryomed provides local servicing through highly trained engineers across all states and territories, as well as in New Zealand, minimising disruption to clinical flow. This is supported by highly trained clinical educators and a comprehensive online portal offering research, marketing assets and treatment technique resources to fully support product owners 24 hours a day.
