Versatile, powerful, diverse – the Hydrafacial is a game-changing treatment.

With the ability to produce impressive results in a predictable manner across a range of skin types, the HydraFacial remains a rm favourite with both practitioners and their patients. The patented technology is distributed throughout Australia by High Tech Medical and allows practitioners to achieve instant and ongoing results with each 30 minute session.

The HydraFacial improves the appearance of ne lines and wrinkles, congested and enlarged pores, oily or acne-prone skin, hyperpigmentation, and brown spots. Each treatment noticeably decongests and shrinks pores, while plumping the skin with antioxidant and hyaluronic acid infusions. It di ers from other skin resurfacing techniques in that it hydrates and ameliorates the skin surface of all skin types and conditions without irritation, discomfort or downtime.

Prepare and preserve

Dr Grant Stevens, Founder and Medical Director of Marina Plastic Surgery and The Institute in Marina Del Rey, California, has had three HydraFacial devices in his practice for the last three years.

‘What sets the HydraFacial apart in my mind is that it’s the complete package,’ says Dr Stevens. ‘Exfoliation is exfoliation, but that’s not cleansing and it’s certainly
not infusing. This offers all three steps in a consistent, reproducible, predictable and reliable fashion.

‘HydraFacial is one of the only technologies that really is for everyone. There’s no patient selection, there’s no need for before and afters, you don’t have to convince anybody that it works. It suits all skin types and there’s no patient expectation management.’

One of the key bene ts of this treatment is that it can be used as a standalone or an adjunct to other cosmetic treatments. In his practice, Dr Stevens uses it both as a preparatory tool for surgical and non-surgical procedures (typically starting one to three months pre-procedure) and to enhance the results obtained with those procedures.

Added value

The HydraFacial can be performed by skin therapists, dermal clinicians, nurses and doctors, making it a practical addition to any aesthetic medical practice. It is sought after at all times of the year, yields a good return on investment and is easy to introduce to existing patients. AMP

The 3 Step Treatment Protocol

The treatment protocol for HydraFacial consists of three steps that can be performed in under 30 minutes. The first step utilises cleansing serums, exfoliation using the patented hydropeel tip, followed by a glycolic and salicylic acid peel to prep the skin in order to improve the results of step two. In step two, a vortex suction system delivers painless extractions to fully decongest the skin. This is followed by intense moisturisers. The nal step delivers an infusion of highly active hydrating serums consisting of antioxidants, peptides and hyaluronic acid to the skin. HydraFacial has also developed an optional skincare range called HydraFacial Daily Essentials that is a take-home version of serums from the professional treatments that extends the timeframe that treatment results will last for.
